Beginning

It's taken me a few years to start this. Every time I say I'm going to start a blog, I get too lazy and let the project go. However, I want to be a writer, and writing takes practice, which really shouldn't include lecture notes from my classes. Well, here I am. I want to use this blog to experiment with writing. I do fiction -- mostly fantasy and horror -- but schoolwork gets in the way, and it's been years since I've had proper time to write. I need to get back into the habit of writing every day. Well, maybe not every single day. I don't know if I can commit to that with classes and work and all, but I can try a minimum of twice a week. I'm going to use this blog for all sorts of things, like reviews -- including product reviews, movie reviews, book reviews, manga reviews, and more, fashion and beauty tips, how to tips, meditations, blurbs, criticisms, comments, opinions, and anything random.

Let's get started, shall we?

I'll begin with my user name: Elvarde. It's a strange name, I know. I made it up. It's from one of my series, specifically my high fantasy series, and Elvarde is the name of the royal house.  It's pronounced el-VAR-day.  Pretty, isn't it? I like to think so.

It's not much of a first post, I admit, but I'd like to keep each post to one subject, and this little introduction makes a nice first subject.
